Transfers, what they are and what gets billed
What a transfer is
When the AI establishes that someone is still shipping a vehicle and wants to talk, it says it is connecting them and dials the broker's sales line, putting the two together. The AI then leaves the call. The broker's rep picks up to a live person who is expecting them.
The AI does not stay on the line, listen in, or speak over the conversation.
What gets billed
A transfer is billed at the per-transfer price when the call reaches the broker's line and the connection holds. Specifically, a transfer is not billed when:
- the broker's line does not answer;
- the connection fails or drops immediately (under 15 seconds);
- the AI never reached a live person in the first place.
The broker only pays when a real, interested person was delivered to their phone.
If the broker's team does not pick up
There is no cascade to a second number. The AI offers the lead a callback instead, and the broker is emailed straightaway with the lead's details and when they asked to be called. Nothing is billed.
Proof of every transfer
Every transferred call is recorded through the handoff and the first moments of the broker's team answering, so there is a recording of the connection actually being made. Recordings are available in the dashboard for 7 days.
What happens after the handoff is the broker's side
Once the lead is on the broker's line, what happens next, how fast a rep picks up, whether they are put in a queue, is inside the broker's own phone system. Lynx delivers the live person to the line.
A practical note worth raising with any broker: if their phone system holds callers in a queue, some of those live buyers will hang up before a rep picks up. That is worth checking on their end, because those are people who were ready to talk.
Who does NOT get transferred
- Anyone who has already booked with someone else.
- Anyone who says they are not interested.
- Anyone who asks not to be called again.
- Voicemails, wrong numbers and disconnected lines.
